How do I switch between relative and absolute times?

Tap the text at the top of the weather view (text: Soon, Today, Recently, or Yesterday) or swipe horizontally across the weather tiles

How do I add locations?

Open Settings, tap "Add City or Postal Code" and search for the location you want to add

What do the colors mean?

Relativ uses two color systems:

• Relative colors show temperature changes (e.g., +18° is much hotter in dark red, -20° is much colder in purple)
• Absolute colors show actual temperatures (e.g., 98° is very hot in dark red, 25° is very cold in purple)

How do I see more detailed weather information?

Tap any weather tile to zoom into a traditional detailed view showing hourly breakdowns with relative and absolute temperatures, conditions, precipitation, and wind and direction

Can I customize the time intervals?

Yes! In Settings, you can customize both:

• Relative Hours: The intervals for "in X hours" (default: 1h, 4h, 8h, 24h)
• Absolute Hours: Specific times of day (default: 7 AM, 12 PM, 5 PM, 9 PM)

What's the difference between Here and There?

Here refers to your current location (requires location permission), while There refers to your saved cities. Toggling changes the relative temperature comparison from the current location to the saved location

Do I need to grant location permission?

No, location permission is optional. You can use Relativ by manually adding cities without granting location access. If you do grant permission, Relativ only accesses location when the app is open (not in the background)

Why isn't my location updating?

Make sure you've granted location permission in iOS Settings:

1. Open Settings on your iPhone
2. Scroll to and tap Apps
3. Scroll to and tap Relativ
4. Tap Location
5. Select "While Using the App"

How often does weather data update?

Relativ fetches fresh weather data when you open the app and will cache it for up to 60 minutes

What's the difference between Free and Premium?

Both versions include all features and unlimited cities. The Free version shows occasional ads, while Premium ($10 / year with 2-week trial) removes all ads for an premium, uninterrupted experience

How do I restore my Premium purchase?

If you've previously purchased Premium and need to restore it on a new device:

1. Open Relativ and go to Settings
2. Scroll to the subscription section
3. Tap "Restore Purchase"

How do I cancel my Premium subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID:

1. Open Settings on your iPhone
2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Find Relativ and tap Cancel Subscription

Where does the weather data come from?

Relativ uses the Visual Crossing Weather API to provide accurate, reliable weather data

Does Relativ work offline?

Relativ requires an internet connection to fetch weather data. However, the app caches previously loaded data, so you can view recent forecasts while offline

How do I view the onboarding tutorial again?

Open Settings and tap "How to Use This App" to replay the interactive tutorial that explains all of the Relativ features
